This 1989 Toyota MR2 is finished in Super Red over a black interior and is powered by a mid-mounted supercharged 1.6-liter inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transaxle. Modifications include a Kaminari body kit, Techno Toy Tuning supercharger pulleys, Toyota Racing Development (TRD) headers, a Vibrant Performance exhaust, white 15” Work Wheels, coilover suspension, Buddy Club P-1 bucket seats, a Momo steering wheel, and a touchscreen infotainment system. It was acquired by the seller eight years ago, and the engine reportedly received replacement gaskets in March 2021. This AW11 MR2 was reportedly featured in an issue of
Super Street
magazine and is now offered with an owner’s manual, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Super Red (3E5) and was reportedly repainted due to fading. A Kaminari body kit has been installed, including side skirts, revised front and rear valances, and a rear spoiler. A CRZY Engineering rear spoiler extension has also been added, along with an aftermarket front splitter, tinted windows, and a whip antenna. Additional exterior details include pop-up headlights, side scoops, and glass T-top roof panels. The paintwork and exterior trim are shown in detail in the photo gallery below.
White-finished 15” Work Wheels wear blue lugs and are mounted with Nankang Sportnex AR-1 tires that measure 225/45 up front and 245/40 out back. A camber kit and coilovers have been installed, and stopping power is provided by disc brakes with cross-drilled rotors.
The interior houses Buddy Club P-1 bucket seats trimmed in microsuede, along with matching dashboard trim. Amenities include air conditioning, an aftermarket shifter, Kicker speakers, and a touchscreen infotainment system that is compatible with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. A tear is present on the driver’s seat leg bolster.
A Momo Monte Carlo steering wheel fronts instrumentation consisting of a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,500-rpm redline, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 186k miles, around 25k of which were added by the seller.
The supercharged and intercooled 1.6-liter 4A-GZE inline-four has been modified with Techno Toy Tuning supercharger pulleys, TRD headers, and a three-inch Vibrant Performance racing exhaust. engine gaskets were installed in March 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. Additional underside images are presented in the gallery.
The Carfax report shows NO accidents or other damage and lists history in Missouri and California.
