Description
This Authentic Tennis Poster ---January 1997, Australian Open,"Melbourne Serving Summer Live" --signed by Pete Sampras & Carlos Moya comes from a very largeTennis & Sports Memorabilia Collection amassed by the famous Australian Tennis Hall of
Famer, **FRED STOLLE,
during his many years on the world Amateur & Professional Tennis Circuit, & later as a worldwide tennis commentator.
In his later years,he has travelled the world ( & still does ),as a commentator at all the major Slams--Australian, French, Wimbledon & US Opens,& in doing so,he was given all the necessary credential badges,(as per the players),to gain access to all the locker rooms, player's lounges, courts etc, interviewing & befriending many of the top tennis players along the way. At each of the majors he would personally take the particular poster for that Slam, at the venue where he was commentating, & have it signed, by the winners / finalists / semi-finalists,
personally witnessing
each & every Signature himself. As you can imagine Fred has amassed a very sizeable Collection of Tennis Posters all authentically signed by the players themselves. Hence
he can guarantee 100%, that all of the signatures in his collection are completely genuine.
This poster is so very unique in that it is signed by the actual Winner PETE SAMPRAS who beat the Finalist CARLOS MOYA 6-2,6-3,6-3 in the Final of the Australian Open 1997.
This particular Poster is 23 1/2" x 33" & in Very Good condition, having been kept in one of many sturdy cardboard tubes,in an air-conditioned storage facility, maintaining their original condition...Top & bottom on the back of the Poster shows evidence of taping---no doubt onto a wall / bulletin board etc..
The Poster will be shipped in a Mailing Tube, expertly packed, with Brown Paper Sheeting.
