19 Different Date/MM Dime Clipped Planchet Coins 12 are Silver. Collection Starter, OR(?)
These ninjeteen US Dimes all exhibit metal flow diagnostic characteristics for mint-made pre-strike planchet ‘clips’(incomplete planchets). Three
different design/planchet types are represented. TWELVE are 90% silver, the rest are copper-nickel clad. They cover a time span of 54 years. All are circulated (but not all that much, as the pictures show). Several different types of clips are present in this lot. All three Mints are represented in this lot.
The dates included are: 1936-P, 1942-P, 1943-P+S,1944-S, 1945-P, 1948-S, 1953-P(?), 1954-P, 1956-P, 1957-P, 1959-P,1966-P, 1967-P, 1969-D, 1979-D, 1984-P, 1988-P, 1989-P.
They could round out a clipped Planchet type set, start or add to a clip date set of dimes,
or of error coins, in general.
They are offered for bids as a lot--the successful bidder will receive all Nineteen (all shown in the listing photos).
