    Description

Here is the perfect "heritage-inspired" decor for your railroad-themed room, model train area, man cave or other such space. These original-design posters are based on drawings and diagrams taken from old early-twentieth-century railroad publications, carefully retouched and redesigned into this distinctive blueprint-style format. This particular poster features one of the most distinctive of the old-school locomotives of the steam era, the classic 4-4-0 that was so widely used in the U. S. that it was given the name "American". This style of engine was used from the mid 1800's on, and had largely been phased out in favor of larger, stronger engines by the early 1900's... though some still could be found even in the 1920's. This poster design includes a distinctive "ghosted" photograph of one of these engines, as well as distinctive blueprint-style side and front profile line drawings. As an added bonus, a list of the mechanical specifications of this model of locomotive is included.
These posters were designed and are printed in the USA, and ship from the C. B. Gitty headquarters in Rochester, New Hampshire.
