    You are looking at A super rare civil war confederate clip point
    Bowie
    knife +
    with leather sheath this is an amazing piece.
    It was likely used in combat by a
    southern
    soldier there are no markings on the blade
    so it appears to be blacksmith made which was common during the war.
    The confederacy
    didn't
    have many factories to produce weapons so blacksmiths definitely stayed busy.
    There was a lot of hand to hand combat during the war & the
    Bowie
    was a favorite among the confederates.
    Once can only imagine what this has seen & which solider carried it !
    Amazing piece of history and a wonderful additional to any collection.
