Nice solid shoes. The autographs and individual inscriptions related to the two biggest matches of Roscoe Tanners Hall of Fame career : his five set loss to Bjorn Borg, in the 1979 Wimbledon semi-final (this of course in the midst of Borg's total dominance at the All England Club); and, highlighted on the other shoe Tanner's Grand Slam singles title at the 1977 Australian Open. Tanner was one of the few genuine threats week in and week out to the legends of the era -  Borg, McEnroe, and, Connors. The abbreviated serving motion will forever be associated with Tanner. Roscoe had also for decades held the record for the fastest serve ever in tournament play, 153 mph (242 kph.) A unique gift that would be an amazing addition to any collection or as a display in a tennis club, sports bar, or anywhere. Very nice presentation.
