Some amateurs still use it today.ANTONIN BECVAR was a Czech astronomer who was active in Slovakia and is particularly important
for his star charts
. He led the compilation of the Atlas Coeli Skalnate Pleso (1951), published by Sky Publishing Corporation as the Skalnate Pleso Atlas of the Heavens. Both an asteroid and a crater on the Moon were named in his honor. The atlas shows stars down to 7.75 magnitude, and thousands of deep sky objects. Thew Milky Way is shown in color.
This book is in very good condition with some edge wear and wear to the back cover due to storage. All pages and illustrations are very nice and all pages are attached to the spine. Please see pictures.

These will make a wonderful addition to your astronomy library or to use while observing with telescope. They are NOT water resistant, so use them under cover if using them out at the telescope!!!
