    Civil War Confederate Pommel Cap for an Officer's Sword. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Box. This is a gorgeous non dug pommel cap for a Confederate Officer's Sword. It is a rarer version pommel cap with great detail. It has distinctive markings and shows honest use and wear. The pommel cap would be affixed to the end of the grip where the sword guard would be attached (see image of hole on pommel cap where guard attached). You will see blades and guards, but seldom see or find pommel caps. This would make a great addition to any collection and is a great conversation piece. Imagine what Confederate Officer would have carried the sword that lost the pommel cap. Imagine what may have happened to the sword, battle struck or destroyed?
