E027L, Very much like the Union type but it's dimensions give it away, plus the lack of any markings and the absence of the deeply engraved Union eagle on pommel, Handle and guard are cast bronze, steel blade measures 1.75" close to hand guard, 1 7/16th" at narrowest, 1.5" wide the rest of the way to the end, where it begins forming the point. Length of blade is 18"...18.5" if you include missing point. Length of bronze grip to end 6". Do your research. The south used a wide variety of artillery swords. All original, ship weight 4 pounds.
