    Description

    D-Guard Cutlass with Leather Scabbard. The ricasso is unmarked, there are several "X" (6 of them) and "I" (11 of them) marks on the spine, no other markings anywhere. The brass D-guard has several little dings/scratches, and it has a 1/8" hole pierced through it. The grip is tight but the guard will move if you force it. The wood grip has thick and thin grooves carved into it, the thick grooves at one point had wire wrap in them (very tiny remnants under the tack nails at the top and bottom of the grip). The blade has odd line etches that match in location on both sides, it been sharpened (it is sharp) the last 1/32" of the tip is bent, several nicks, age spots scattered throughout, a couple spots of pitting with some light surface rust, and it has a few little bends.
    The brown leather scabbard stitching is tight except for where the 1 1/2" section is missing, some surface leather loss (mainly on the edges), a few weak spots on the lower half, and it has a couple holes

    gth of the blade is 21 1/2" (1 3/8" wide and 1/4" thick), the sword is 26 1/2" and overall in the scabbard it is 29 1/8".
