FOSTORIA Blue JUNE Etch 9.5" SMALL (or "SMALL") DINNER PLATE, SET OF TWO, EVC!

This listing  is for one set of  two  (2) so-described as "small", or the 9.5 inch, small dinner plates made by the Fostoria Glass Company.  These "small" dinner plates were made on a Fostoria azure blue blank, and then acid etched with Fostoria's lovely "June" pattern.  Fostoria made their "June" pattern from the year 1928 to 1944.
Fostoria's "June" pattern was one of the most highly sought-after glass patterns by brides of the depression era.  Today it is the most
collected pattern of the depression era "elegant" glassware.
The brides-to-be would visit their local drugstore or department store to choose the pattern and color of their desired wedding crystal for their wedding registry.
Photos #1 through #4 are of plate #1 of the pair; and

The groups of the plate photos are separated by a photo of the storefront of an old drugstore we happened across on a recent trip to Texas.  Please zoom in on the photo to see an advertisement for Fostoria glass painted on the drugstore's front window!  I thought it would be fun to share this with you in the listing.
These 9.5" (or "small") dinner plates are from my husband's Fostoria azure blue June etched collection, and are in excellent, pre-owned condition.  I found no flakes, nicks, or chips on either plate.
It is quite common for "elegant depression glassware" pieces to have both microscopic bubbles and what I refer to as "acid faults" which occurred at the time of manufacture.
The Fostoria decorators would inadvertently leave microscopic disturbances resulting from the acid or the etching tool they used in the etching process.  To the naked eye, such super-tiny bubbles or "acid faults" can appear to be a nick or scratch in the glass.
On further study with a magnifying glass, one can see these super-tiny bubbles and/or "acid faults".   As they did occur at the time of manufacture, these do not affect the value of the piece.  By using a magnifying glass to study Fostoria June pieces, I have seen tiny specks of dirt as well as tiny bits of string.  Interesting!
1)  Plate #1 has a tiny "acid fault" just beneath one of the bow decorations.  This "acid fault" cannot be felt (meaning it is located within the glass), and lighted magnification reveals the white-colored "glow" of an "acid fault".
2)  Plate #2 has one of the tiny bubbles which can be seen near the inner edge of the milled-off base of the plate.  It looks as though it might be a nick, but magnification reveals it is a closed bubble.  Almost in a straight line across from this bubble is one of the tiny "acid faults".  This can be felt and appears to be a nick, but lighted magnification reveals the white-colored "glow" of an "acid fault".
Please know that these tiny bubbles and "acid faults" on these plates
are not nearly as noticeable in person as they appear in the photos - these are closeup photos, and, in addition, my camera takes high-def photos.

Also know that I charge exact shipping only, and do not inflate that amount.  My items ship from Oklahoma.  When a parcel crosses either the Appalachians to the east or the Rockies to the west, those amounts can seem high.  Should there be a difference between the amount you pay and the actual shipping amount, I will promptly refund that amount to your account through the website.
I will gladly accept the return of these 9.5" (or "small") dinner plates within 30 (thirty) days of your receiving them with the return shipping at the buyer's expense, and provided there has been no damage or alteration to either plate.
