FOSTORIA glass #329 LIDO etched BAROQUE 2496 round handled CAKE PLATTER plate

Description

Offered for sale is a beautiful clear glass HANDLED CAKE PLATE or ROUND PLATTER, made by Fostoria, U.S.A. The shape is called BAROQUE, and has dramatic flame shaped handles. It's also etched with Fostoria's LIDO pattern, which depicts beautiful palm fronds, though the design is often described as looking like fireworks. Fostoria made this pattern from 1937 until 1954. It was their item #2496, and the LIDO etch is their #329.  It was made in the U.S.A.
The cake plate measures 10 1/8 inches (25.7cm) in diameter, and 12 7/8 inches (32.7cm) from handle to handle. There is a U.S. quarter included in the second picture, to give an accurate impression of the size.
It is in near-perfect condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs, and there is no cloudiness or discoloration in the glass. The plate does have a few barely-visible scratches from gentle use, but it's very hard to see them without a magnifier. This plate was very well taken care of!
