Hand Tooled Leather Train Case Double Latch Travel Case Florals

$ 73.39

Availability: 100 in stock

Description

Vaudeville-era hand-tooled leather train case with a double latch made in Mexico.  Leather features florals and references to Aztec culture, lock has no key and reads, "Cheney, England".  Leather has predictable condition issues for a potentially 100 year-old leather case with rubbing or loss on corners and what I suspect was a mirror in the interior lid is missing.  Interior also has some frayed threads on the left side and small tear on right.  Please review all photos.
Patina is beautiful, tooling is really lovely and overall it's a special piece. I purchased this case almost a decade ago and the West Coast seller kindly included provenance for the item (on note card).
Will gladly refund shipping costs should they exceed actual expense.
