  • Condition: Looks lightly used. I think of these as earliest of the Intermediate uniform socks. Perhaps because I have had this style with darned holes which I do not see on the later style. They are described the same as Heather Green, but feel like cotton.

    Description

    INTERMEDIATE GIRL SCOUT SOCKS
    EXCELLENT USED CONDITION
    Described in GSI-1A, 1939 as "Heather Green Tweed, light green trefoil on dark green cuff,"  which is the same description for the GSI-1B in 1943.
    I think of these as earliest of the Intermediate uniform socks.  Perhaps because I have had several of this style with darned holes which I do not see on the later style.  (If you want to WOW a troop of Cadettes or Seniors, show them the darned holes in old socks!)  They are described the same as Heather Green, but feel like cotton - another reason I think they are older.
