Description

This super sized cyanotype moon map has those deep rich blues and is finished with a transparent pearlescent silver. This subtle addition provides a silver sheen that is just enough to add layer of depth to the piece. The piece is made like a large photograph requiring a large negative and sensitizing the watercolor paper in order to expose the image. Once exposed it is washed, dried, assembled and trimmed. A rather complex process that has taken me years to develop, and as you will see I am the only one producing lunar cyanotype maps in this scale. Each one is unique and signed in pencil in the lower right. Measures: 55” x 56” on French Arches 300 gram watercolor paper.
