Ames maker. Hilt has a brass guard pierced with floral motifs and a Phrygian helmet pommel embossed with acanthus, grip missing brass wire. Partial black leather scabbard, throat stamped with a three line Ames address.
Condition:
Very good for display.Original gilt finish remains about 85%.
There are many scattered gray spots on the blade. The saber handle does not move (solid)
