This is a new and fully functional "SoundSwitcher" board for the Kawai R100. It includes all 100% of the
sounds
from all 3 Kawai Factory ROMs.
Plus a surprise 4th bank.  High quality compact Grayhill switch and high quality m
achined aluminum alloy
knob.
This ROM expander is a more hi-tech or geeky version of our classic 3x or 3-bank switcher (see separate auction for the 3x version). The 3x switcher uses 3 of the original size 40-pin DIP EPROMs. This 4x or 4-bank QuadROM switcher uses one larger 42-pin DIP EPROM. This kit is designed for people who want more banks of instrument sounds and/or are experienced with EPROM programming. Not all EPROM programmers will program the larger capacity EPROM chip used in this kit.
Set-by-step instructions with photos are included (PDF on CD). Don't miss this chance to fit your R100 with all the sounds made for it. NOTE: The board uses non-destructive round machined pins. It does not use square pins that destroy the original sound ROM socket.
No soldering is required but you may want to drill a hole in the plastic case for the switch.
Please note that it's the
blue board
shown in the photos above.
The chip is
socketed
and can be replaced if you want to make your own sound chip(s).

that lets you make your own custom ROMs for the R100/R50.  There is no other software tool on the planet that will do this. See my web page or blog for more. The included CD has a few features that the free download does not have.
