    Vintage 1940's-1950's  era Leslie Ragan Burlington Mississippi River Railroad print
    Twin Cities Zephyr marked on the back of one of the trains.
    Leslie Ragan was a famous American Illustration Artist who has done many railroad works He is especially well known for his art deco renditions of train images of the New York Central Railroad.
    Dimensions: 23 1/2" by 19/ 3/4" overall, 19"" x 14 5/8", just the colored area.
    This poster has never seen the light of day, and has great color,  but it does have a 9" tear into the scene from the upper right edge. It is taped on the back. If it was colored with an artists pencil, it would be less obvious. It also has a tear on  lower right side border(with a small thin slit hole) , and tear in   border left side.
    A little gouge and some minor roughness top edge, and small chip out of lower left corner.
    Perhaps a paper conservator can fix the problems, it is certainly worth it, this is not a common Ragan image by any means.

    Exceptionally Nice condition(save for the tear running into it), good strong original color in all of the colored area,

    The second image that is shown is the best representation of color for this entire image. The overall image shown is from my camera and it does not do justice to the print, overall print has strong vibrant color like the partial views show.
