This stunning wood sculpture of a California quail was hand-carved by award winning
artist and wood carver, Peter Kaune, and is mounted on a piece of natural wood, with
three metal California poppies beneath, on a red oak base.
The base is hand-signed:
Peter Kaune
10/85 (date of creation)
It measures 12.25 inches in height on its base.
The bird itself measures 7 inches in height, by 3.25 inches in width, by 9
inches in length.
The bird and the base are in very good condition, with a tiny chip on the underside of one of the
tail feathers (please see image #11).
