    This item is a print depicting a cut away view of new Haven Railroad Signal Station #44 (now the SoNo Switch Tower Museum) in Norwalk, CT.  See how the mechanical interlocking machine operated in order to keep trains moving in a safe manner.  The print was created by noted illustrator Chris Iorillo, who specializes in computer renderings.  This is exclusively offered by the SoNo Switch Tower Museum.  Great for New Haven RR enthusiasts and fans of interlocking towers.
    Print measures 13" x 19" and will be shipped in a mailing tube.  Shipping & handling included in U.S. only.
    Entire proceeds from this auction benefit the SoNo Switch Tower Museum in South Norwalk, CT.  This historic railroad interlocking tower was built in 1896 and was called SS #44 under New Haven Railroad and later BERK under Penn Central.  The tower, containing 68 "Armstrong" levers, was saved from demolition by the WestConn Chapter - NRHS and is open to the public from May - Oct.  For details, see the tower's website at sonotower.org.
