    Description

    U.S. NAVY CUTLASS, Model 1860,Ames Manufacturing Co. Chicopee, N.Y Made (Blade Marked) 1862. The hilt is marked "22M, 203" which designates this as a "rack sword". The "rack" swords were stationed along the top side of the deck and were utilized by "boarding parties", and or in "defense" of the Ship.
    Condition used, commensurate for age and use during Civil War - WWI Times.
