US Civil War Emerson & Silver Model 1840 Musicians Sword w/Scabbard - Dated 1863

Description

US Civil War Model 1840 Emerson & Silver Musician Sword with Metal Scabbard.
The ricasso is marked "Emerson & Silver" over "Trenton" over "N.J." and on the reverse "US", over "DFM" over "1863". The side of the knuckle guard is marked "DFM". The brass grip and guard are tight.
The blade
is mostly clean, straight, unsharpened, the tip is sharp, no nicks, and there are light age spots scattered throughout. The metal scabbard is solid, the drag is marked "DFM" and the drag is dented.
W
asher is missing. Length of the blade is 28" (13/16" wide and 1/4" thick), the sword is 34 5/16", and overall in the scabbard it is 35 3/16".
