    S Civil War Model 1840 Wristbreaker Heavy Cavalry Officers Sword with Scabbard. The ricasso is marked "S&K" which stands for Schnitzler & Kirschbaum, sword makers of Solingen, Germany. The guard and grip are tight, the leather is 50% complete, and
    the twisted wire wrap is complete but loose
    . The side of the knuckleguard by the pommel is stamped "29", it has the same stamp on the top of the pommel cap. The blade is straight, unsharpened,
    the tip is sharp
    , no nicks, very light age spots and some dried oil spots scattered throughout. The scabbard is solid with no dents, and has light surface rust scattered throughout. The leather washer is intact. Length of the blade is 35 5/8" (1 1/4" wide and 3/8" thick), the sword is 41 1/8", and in the scabbard it is 43 1/2".
