    Description

    US Pre-Civil War Militia Staff Officers Sword
    . The ricasso is marked with a
    kings head stamp which stands for Weyersberg of Solingen
    . The bone has a couple crack lines but is solid with no chips. The grip is a tiny bit loose, the crossguard a bit more, and the drooping eagle pommel is loose (it can be spun completely around). The chain is missing. The etched blade has an even dark patina throughout, it is straight, unsharpened, the tip has been repointed, has some nicks, and has a few minor spots of surface rust.
    Washer is missing. No scabbard. Length of the blade measures 29 3/4" (1 1/16" wide x 1/4" thick), and the sword
    overall is 35 9/16
