Vintage 16" Tweed & Stripe Pattern Travel Suitcase
Measures 16" across, 13" high (with handle 13 1/2"), 6 3/4" deep
Dating is based on the patent #'s located on the underside of the latch. The # dates to 1934 and the 2nd # dates to 1935.
Please check photos carefully as the case has been used and stored for many years. It is in pretty good condition for it's age and is as made. There is the expected wear from use and storage-note that the paper is rippled on 1 side panel and is rubbed away in some places. The pattern is a paper covering over the hard case. The handle has some issue but cannot tell exactly what it is. Works well as does the latch. Please check photos and feel free to ask any question
The case w
as found in a clear-out of our family home and was storing clothing - my aunts Girl Scout uniform from the 1920's and the dress she wore for her wedding in 1948 - items obviously important to her.
Great for either decorative or everyday use. Have a train case also listed that was probably part of the same set. Unfortunately cannot fit both in same box to combine shipping  so they would have to be shipped separately.
