    Description

Boy Scouts of America Rexcraft Official Bugle with Mouthpiece - Please see all photos that describe condition.
This item is vintage and shows signs of use, some dents around the bell (see photo). Some solder has cracked in the main body.
The tuning slide is not dented, and can be removed fairly easily (see photos).
Overall a very nice surviving usable example with original mouthpiece. Overall in good condition.
    A bit about the bugle:
This is a bugle, made by Rexcraft the official manufacture for Boy Scouts of America", and was also used by various bodies in the US Government.
Rexcraft was a bugle importer that began distributing “Official” bugles for the Boy Scouts of America in 1919. In 1933, Rexcraft was purchased by “Buglecraft.” In the early 1930s. Rexcraft imported regulation bugles for military, bands, corps, etc. Evidence also exists of some domestic bugle manufacturing. Buglecraft continued to sell under the brand name Rexcraft for some time.
