DESCRIPTION:
This beautiful and rare vintage collector's plate is printed from the finest black & white engravings and colored by hand. This plate is from the original 1827 drawings of the 'Pileated Woodpecker' from John James Audubon.
These porcelain plates were issued by the Adams Staffordshire Pottery between 1948 and 1969 as the second series of "The Birds of America" plates. This plate would make an impressive addition to your plate collection, or as a cherished gift for your favorite Bird Watcher or Audubon Society member.
