Description

Vintage Chrome Plated Single Valve Bugle Military Model DEG Products Lake Geneva Wisconsin. It has a number on the side 481 which might be a serial number as this company did not make many of these bugles. The mouthpiece is marked Vincent Bach Corp 7C. Has some age appropriate wear, valve plunger moves nicely - please see my 12 detailed photos. I would recommend having it cleaned and oiled but plenty to work with.
The DEG Products company is now defunct, this is some old information I found:
DEG – Perfectly in step with marching bands since 1965
Founded in 1965 in Lake Geneva, WI, by Don E. Getzen. DEG Music Products continues to be the top-selling brand for marching band lyres and flip-folios. Our Flutist’s Friend is the world’s number one selling wrist lyre for flute and piccolo players. The marching lyres for bass drum, snare drum, trumpet and trombone are now staples in every marching band in the world.
DEG also makes the Claricord clarinet strap, a range of brass mouthpiece pouches, the Handy Tuba rest and the A04TT995 Shank Truing tool.
DEG Music Products continues to be the brand that marching bands around the world depend to hold their music where they can see it. Whether marching in parades or field shows, our marching lyres and flip-folders are essential equipment.
Located in St Louis MO and founded in 1922, St Louis Music is the owner of the DEG brand. Besides DEG, St Louis Music also owns Hamilton Stands, H.W. Padsavers, Blessing Band Instruments and Knilling Stringed Instruments, among others. St Louis Music is dedicated to offering the instruments and accessories our customers need to succeed in their musical journeys.
D.E.G. Music Products will give you a horn to play and a place to keep it. The company manufactures and distributes marching and orchestral musical instruments, cases, and accessories for wind and percussion instruments, such as finger rests, lubricants, mouthpieces, and tuba rests. Its instruments are manufactured through its Dynasty USA division and include such brand names as Dynasty (marching brasswind and percussion instruments), Schafer (band instruments), and Willson (brass instruments). The company's musical products are distributed to music stores worldwide.
