Vintage Wheary Suitcase Small Luggage Train Case Wood Cloth Leather Antique Old

Description

This old suitcase is has some wear and scratches but is sturdy, solid and suitable for use.
All of the inside fabric, pockets and fasteners are intact but 1 strap needs to be re-glued.
The elastic pockets are secure with no missing stitching.
The inside label reads:

Also intact on the inside is another label that reads: WHEARY with an image of a car, train, boat and plane.
The inside has a few corner areas of light green where mildew formed and then dried. I brushed it out but have not treated it with anything.
The odor is notable when opened but more subtle when closed.
The outside of the case measures 18" x 12 1/2" x 6 1/4" and is made of a wood shell covered in shellacked cloth and trimmed with leather. The chrome hardware opens and closes with ease and there is a brass key to lock the latches.
The handle is coated with leather and the front of the case has a silver
Wheary
logon on it. The brass key is branded CORBIN.
The bottom of the case has an orange stamp - 250 2 594.
